Re: Good luck with B-Lloyd

Frankly I have wanted Lloyd since last year...you can check my old posts. I think getting him for a 3rd and 4th is an absolute fleecing! We'll see how he performs with someone at QB who can ACTUALLY get him the ball...all I know is hes staying on my dyansty league team!

He is going to be a great one!!! There are many 49er fans out here that are upset that he has been moved!

David Patten will be back from injuries and he can catch balls anywhere on the field. Lloyd's speed and quickness will give us options in the passing game that teams have to respect and that will open up the field for everyone else.
Following up on my previous post, there WILL be a competition for the #2 WR in camp. With the signing of Randell-El it looks like we'll have Lloyd, Randell-El, and Patten squaring off against each other. Skillswise I don't see us losing out no matter who wins because the two odd men out will make for some hellacious depth at WR. It's a little premature, but this could be the most potent offense we had since the late 1980s.

The WR group we now have will be a great one as long as the injury bug stays away. Which one has the best shot of making plays over the middle though.

lloyd. the point in being 4 deep is to be prepared in case of injury.

I think that's going to be part of the test. We know all three can catch the ball, but the one who steps up between the hash marks will be our #2 guy.

Also, who clicks with the QB? I think that chemistry is important so I guess we get to see who has it...

Cooley will handle that for us. And Fauria is edept at that as well.

The way I look at it... ask yourself how many teams would like to have any of these guys as a #3 or #4 receiver...

Brandon Lloyd
Antwaan Randle-El
David Patten

I think the possibilities speak for themselves, although I think the Redskins braintrust is probably looking at Lloyd for a #2, Randle-El for a #3 and KR, and Patten as a #4 going into camp, but knowing Gibbs and how he prefers to have open competition for positions I don't think they'll be married to that line-up

Re: Good luck with B-Lloyd

Good for you, good for us. At this point, I trust Al Sanders, Joe Bugel, Gregg Williams, and Joe Gibbs even more than my own opinion. I can honestly say I have been wrong on everything I thought would happen over the last couple years. Most people I know are in the same boat.

Brandon Lloyd doesn't look that great with his old team, but playing for a team fighting for a return to the playoffs does strange things.

Right now, if the skins told me that they were bringing back Michael Westbrook and Heath Shuler and they would usher the team to big game I would believe (well almost)...

Time will tell. After Santana Moss, nobody around here questions St. Joe's roster moves!!!

Say, I've been meaning to ask a Niner fan what's up wth your team (not a bash)? How is it that the franchise that gave us the West Coast offense, doesn't have a Bill Walsh protege as head coach? Wouldn't you have been better off with Dennis Green?

Your club's been going downhill since the DeBartolos sold out. (I was going to say since TO left, but that would be too cruel!)

Don't know if this has been posted, but the Niners have apparently signed Antonio Bryant. Official announcement should be made Monday.

Re: Good luck with B-Lloyd

9erman goodluck to you.
Us Redskins fans have seen many things between Gibbs' tenures and none of which yielded playoffs. Wish we could play the niners twice next season. Have fun with Edgerrin James while you watch Nolan and Norv put that team into the ocean. Maybe you guys should get TO back! ahhahahhahahhahahaha.
Can't wait til camp!
