that sure was fast. I guess he used up all of his chances last summer and this was the final straw. as deep as our te pool is right now I dont really think it matters all that much either way, but hopefully this will help him rearrange his priorities and attitude.

I call that sending a message in hurray, it was a no brainer, he knew better, and got into trouble any way, and found out Gibb's mean's what he say's.

On the Redskins' site, it shows he was actually released on the 29th.
http://www.redskins.com/team/transactions.jsp They really didn't waste any time. Guess Coach Gibbs wasn't in a very forgiving mood. Ware can thank Tony Stewart for that. |

Didn't he bounce back and forth between roster, practice, and out of work all last season too?

NEWS FLASH: The arrest probably meant practically nothing. He wasn't going to make the team either way.

Yes but now his release acts as a warning, a message to other players. This one act may be more valuble than anything he coud do on the field.

Found this under "news and notes" in July 2 Washington Post
The Washington Redskins released tight end Kevin Ware, five days after he was arrested for public intoxication in Houston. Ware, 23, was one of seven tight ends on the roster and would have had to overcome long odds to make the team even before his legal problems arose. Ware was an undrafted player from the University of Washington signed by the Redskins last year. He made the team unexpectedly, shifted between the active roster and the practice squad and made one start. . . . |

I guarentee if Arrington or one of our other premier players did that. No harm no foul. He's trash and he was getting cut anyways.

I agree, Daseal. All it meant was he spent a few weeks less with the team than he would have otherwise. At least one more, and possibly two more, TE's will go before the season. No way Ware was going to stay with the crop of TE's they have accumulated.
