Stuff like this just gets me pumped

Check out Brandon LLoyd's latest on Redskins.com:

Brandon Lloyd Training Camp Journal

He talks about how psyched he is about the DEFENSE.

"Gregg Williams! Talk about a leader. I have never seen a defense in my life with so much tenacity, or a group of players playing that hard for one coach, in my life. When that group of guys who are assembled on the Redskins 'D' gets on the field, they want to hit all day, everyday. I would say playing hard is an understatement, because everyone plays hard. ... This defense takes it to another level. "

On Sean Taylor (after the hit on Mike Anderson):
"Taylor put the perfect form-tackle on him--well, I wouldn't call it a "form-tackle" cause this particular tackle was violent, there was nothing nice about it! I told Santana, "I'm glad he's on my team. Replied 'Tana: 'Last year, I said the same thing too.'"

Regardless of whether the offense performs up to expectation (given that everyone is learning the new system), I think this defense is just going to be evil good this year. Teams better button up the chinstraps 'cause they's gonna be hit!

I read that. I really am liking B. Lloyd's journal too. He acts like all anyone cares about is winning and not how many balls get thrown their way.

Taylor was a monster in that scrimmage, he's going to have a big season.

Brandon Lloyd is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Hopefully he'll do more than write cool journal entries

Re: Stuff like this just gets me pumped

I was once again impressed with the first unit on Defense. I think the 1st unit played with real intensity, from the Marcus Washington interception to the D covering the run. It was fun to watch the D pick up the intensity when the crowd was getting them pumped. Being down here in SC it was nice to see that football is back.

The offense played well enough for the first scrimmage. Mark looked crisp, and I was a little taken back by the fact that Jason couldn't make the short throws. Although his long passes looked good. I think there is plenty of promise in the KID. Anyway Hail to the REDSKINS!!!

I wasn't worried at all about Campbell's problems with the short throws. It was nothing more than nervousness.Once he was into the flow his passes were right on the money. He also seemed to move quite well in the pocket and scrambled well when pressured. I was worried about him at the end of last years preseason because he seemed to not care about playing in a meaningless game, but he looked much more comfortable with everything going on around him on Sat. night. I cant wait until he gets into a real game situation this weekend. He will probably play 2 or 3 quarters on Sunday.

Re: Stuff like this just gets me pumped

And pumped we should be. This defense is going to set records this year. We will absolutely SHUT TEAMS DOWN! I mean like 200 yards per game, if that! All we have to do is have Brunell healthy for 16 games and I'm going to Miami!

lloyd was going to make an amazing one handed catch yesterday but he got hit right when he touched the ball. He did make one catch that was pretty amazing.
