Re: Orien Harris

we need c griffith back in there. he's a beast and that makes looking at Orien Harris worth it to me. as long as cg is in there i think anyone will be a good fit beside him. hell if he's from the u he needs to get a look

Yes I know Cooley is a TE...but we usually play him in the h-back role. Cooley is such a great threat because he lines up as a blocker then goes in motion. Gibbs would probably prefer to have a block TE then another offensive threat...but as fans its more fun to have another great receiver out there

Yeah, I worry about our running game without a blocking TE. Last year, we had Royal at least. The Royal, Cooley combination was marvelous. Players like Royal are a dime a dozen, it's just that we don't have any rostered.

Fauria CAN block, and so can Cooley, but neither is espicially good at it. Fauria is an excellent short range receiver. Thats his deal. Cooley does pretty much everything. I just hope that they go out and sign a blocking TE in the next week.

Goalline will be interesting if they don't. Maybe theres a guy on defense who can play 2 ways?

Re: Orien Harris

harris is on their practice squad, and buck ortega wouldn't have given us much. he can't block all that well and fauria is probably better catching. I would have prefered a 3rd TE to a 2nd FB, but it is what it is.

Re: Orien Harris

Yes, we got lucky with a couple of players from Miami, but that doesn't mean that everyone on the team is worth taking. Besides, the team that Santana and Clinton were on, was much better than last years or the year before's team. It sucks that we've gotten so many players recently that are from Miami, because it makes it harder to hate them. It was easier when Michael Irvin was their poster child.

Re: Orien Harris

back on topic, harris might be better than boschetti, but i really haven't seen enough of him to know. claiming that he could have been a 1st rounder really has no meaning though, cause charles rogers was a 1st rounder and taylor jacobs "should have been a first rounder" and leon washington, coming out of high school, was "a 1st round lock". things happens. looking back brady should have been a 1st round pick, but he wasn't even a starter, so how could you expect anyone to know?

Re: Orien Harris

our depth is pretty good considering. golston and montgomery will only improve the more they are in the system.

This is no longer Gibbs' offense. Al Saunders does not use a H-Back. Saunders used Gonzo primarily as a receiver until his OL started having depth problems.
