Wheres Our Indoor Practice Facility???

I thought about it the other day...because the SAINTS of all teams, have an indoor facility, and they are at the bottum of the NFL revenue list every year. It doesn't go below 40 in N.O. during the winter, but DC gets cold as hell, so where's ours??

While he was still coaching the Skins last year, Steve Spurrier had suggested constructing a field with "dome" shell over it, but obviously, that idea never got off the ground. I don't know if anyone has discussed the idea with Gibbs, but I'll see if I can ask him about it today.

I'm sure Danny would be willing to foot the bill for such a structure if JG asked about it.

Then the planes would be landing at Redskins Park and not Dulles. :cheeky-sm

i am a bit surprised they don't have a covered field and lights though... but sometimes its good to get used to the weather.

here's the answer from Gibbs:

Quote:
The Redskins have considered constructing a bubble at Redskins Park to avoid the inclement weather. However, Gibbs wouldn't consider a bubble. "Never," Gibbs said yesterday. "I don't like bubbles. You play outside. It's an outdoor game. I want to be in the rain because you have a lot of these adverse weather conditions. I don't think there's any other way to get used to that except to be out in it. You need to be out in the heat, rain, snow, sleet -- the whole deal."

True, in some cases.

I can hardly wait till we got 5 feet of snow to see the practices. Because hey, you have to play in the outdoors. It's an outdoor game (disregard all those games you play in domes.)

If the DC area got five feet of snow, practice would be the least of their problems.

i miss the snow....lol

I understand what Gibbs is saying, but running drills doesnt mean you should have to have a higher chance of getting sick or getting hurt. It is surprising that they dotn have lights though, I would have assumed that they did. I didnt know they didnt have lights utnil i read about them going to a high school to practice a night game.
