Some thoughts
First off despite all the Brunell bashing...Know that he Threw for 197 yards...IF someones head should be called for its Al Saunders, Being too conservative will never get us a W, Second, Why are we underdogs against the Texans!?!?...This is the one week I think were gonna shock these so called "Experts" and blow the Texans out If the defense shows up like they started to last week David Carr isnt gonna play too long! We just need to get Our offense on the field more...the Defense can't play the whole game!
On another note Randle El needs to start earning his paycheck..snyder payed good money for him lol If we must go out and get an old man qb....I think we should get Farve...lol or hmmm how bout getting Ramsey back!?!? (THATS A JOKE) |

Re: Some thoughts
he threw for about 46 yards. racking up yards in garbage time is meaningless.

Re: Some thoughts
Agreed! I am just wondering if we are preparing Jason Campbell to take the reigns if Brunell is really unable to continue (since according to Gibbs and the coaching staff he is still our man) or gets injured. I really do not feel confident in Todd Collins, though to me right now anyone more efficient than MB would make me happy!

Re: Some thoughts
I really think Gibbs is totally aware of what he is seeing with Mark Brunell.
To us, the fans, it seems like Gibbs is being blindly loyal or whatever. I just believe he is purposely witholding even the slightest hint of critism toward Brunell because he's acutely aware that this town loves a quarterback contreversy. |

Gibbs blames only himself for the failure of the team, and I hate that. I feel sorry for him! Brunell needs to grow some balls and throw that ball. Saunders needs to TELL him to throw that ball! Moss, Loyd and El WILL catch it. I just want to scream at them for not throwing the ball! I'm going to go crawl back into my dark hole now, and will return when I see the bright light of victory.... |

Seriously though, Gibbs just does that publicly. It's his way of keeping the media at bay. In private I'm sure he's much, much more direct and I believe he and Mark have had a conversation or two about what's going on. |

When we've been able to get the ball to Randel El he's caught it. He's made some good returns too. He's not the problem. |

Re: Some thoughts
We are favored over houston by 4 at this moment...not underdogs...if there is a problem and 1 or 2 people are to blame......it sure as hell is not Randel El....whenever we call his number he has been good!! He has made hard catches and every time he touches the ball on a PR he makes somoene fall!!! defffffffff not his fault...im going to go with the Waterboy for not keeping them hydrated and ESPN for hurting their feelings/confidence!

Re: Some thoughts
I would really like to see him throw some passes, that would be really sweet.

Re: Some thoughts
To tell you the truth, I don't see why ARE hasn't thrown the ball too. If the offense isn't working, throw in some trick plays and throw it deep. Why Al Saunders is not trying to open the offense is beyond me.

Re: Some thoughts
this is getting absurd. If you dont have good pass protection you cant throw the ball. I am not a finger pointer but there a alot of things that have contributed to the 0-2 start. Poor offensive line play, poor play calling and a learning curve involved with a new offense. On defense..its NO SHAWN SPRINGS. Thats the biggest problem we have. Outside of sean taylor we have nothing else in the secondary. Brad Johnson exposed the secondary as the weak link. Until we can figure out how to cover someone with Springs out might even be in some trouble this weekend. Houston has a couple decent wide outs. The best thing going for us is the O line of houston. Im hoping for the best but expecting the worst this weekend. I hope CP coming back is the boost the whole team needs.
