Answer my first question about who our next head coach should be if we fire Gibbs.

But you said it's all Joe Gibbs fault, you never said it was anyone else's fault but Joe's. So Either you are quite happy with our coordinator's or not. If not, then it isn't all Joe Gibbs fault. Again, you never answered my question. Are you ready to give Joe Gibbs all the credit for taking this team to the playoffs and advancing in the playoffs last year -- in only his second year back? If you're not, then your whole argument is skewed.

And if not next year, then the next. Then, if its not better we should give him another year, after all he is Joe Gibbs.

Sure, Joe Gibbs took the team to the playoffs he gets the credit. He also gets the credi or the criticism for all of the personnel, clock management and play calling under his watch because its HIS WATCH! He is ultimately responsible.

And after two years you'd hire someone else, and after two years of that coach you'd hire someone else. This is a losing pattern and the mentality of how this franchise has been going through for the past several years...which is what we're trying to GET AWAY FROM.

ITs been 3 years, we've lost the future with our draft picks and we have spent more than any other team in free agency, YES Id say its time to clean house!

Most of us don't get 3 years to get our job done right. Denny Green?

We're not going to be able to get the Patriots GM. Would Russ Grimm even want to come back to Washington after Dan Snyder got rid of him as the o-line coach in 2000 and after he fired Gibbs?

I agree with a lot that your saying Paulskinsfan, and congrats on ripping up skinsguy, ncskinfanec, hesscl34, and bedlamvr. Paul wins 4-0.

but seriously he's right and I don't understand why a lot of you are giving him a hard time. He's defending his argument and has made some very good points. All the counter-arguments seem to be coming from people who either don't know anything about football, or are afraid to face the facts.

Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.

Well I definitely would like to see Ol' Grimm get a shot at the Skins HC job...after 2008. Gibbs stays until his contract expires. A fool would think otherwise. It is possible he may step down if his health takes a drastic turn for the worst but I think that's about the only reason a proven winner would ever consider stepping down. Danny's not going to fire him (this year). It'll be hard not to if next year winds up like this one.

And I disagree. You don't clean house after one year removed from making the playoffs and advancing....

Gibbs has a lifetime pass in WAS. Skins went to the playoffs last year. Biggest change Saunders came on. Drop Saunders problem fixed.

Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.

While i don't think Gibbs needs to be fired or leave after this season i'm beginning to doubt this coaching staff greatly. Next year is going to be very telling as to the direction of this franchise. There is no bigger fan of JG's out there than me, but you've got to question alot of the things that this franchise does. Some on this board think that no one should even question Joe Gibbs and the coaching staff. No doubt about it JG's is the president and all decisions come thru him, so he deserves alot of the blame.

Two things come to mind...

The signing of Brunell (an aging benched quarterback). Sorry to start this again but had we had a capable above average qb last year, we may have gone all the way.

Personell and our player free agent philosophy. I don't really get it. We bring in lloyd and ARE and we are a running smashmouth team. Or did we just waste alot of $ and picks to have decoys. Either we are or we're not. How about balance. Seems like we sign guys we don't use...Not going to get started on the d...

What good points? I've seen none. And we don't know football don't know the facts?? Please, you just haven't read our counter-arguments.
