I think his loss at the end of last year hurt us more than most people realize.

(I am trying to explain why JC might naturally have a rapport with Thrash; I confess, however, that I cannot answer the question. Just showing I like the player.)
I like Thrash too, & so does Gibbs, that's why it surprised me that we got 2 new recievers in the offseason. Thrash is a possession guy, rarely drops anything & plays special teams. If the cap & $ were not an issue, I would agree if the coaches cut Loyd & kept Thrash, he's earned his spot.

But why isn't ARE getting the ball? Is he not getting open? Is he not getting really used as the third WR? I would have expected more there--he's got great open field moves, he's a good team guy, etc. He's been invisible except on punt returns. What's the deal?
Other than those now predictable reverses, they don't seem to try & get him any short stuff as much as they were early in the year. I always wondered why we only run the bubble screen to Moss & not ARE.
Hopefully, with a qb that can, or should I say will, scramble, ARE is a guy that can break off a route & come back to get open & JC will hit him w/some big plays.

Re: Lack Of Receiver Production

We have too many small receivers, we need a big possession receiver to bail out campbell once in a while like cooley does. A bigger target for the rookie qb would be nice. Our pass offense often requires too much precision and timing for a young qb to handle.
