Re: Why the FedEx Field Bashing?

I sometimes wonder how FedEx would've turned out had Snyder been the one who had it built.

The "punishment" by the league : "It's like getting a ticket for going too fast on a road a week ago and they changed the speed limit today"

I don't mind FedEx as a facility. The seats are fine, the concessions are decent, and there is plenty of parking for tailgating. However, what I don't care for is the empathy of Mr Rich Fan who buys his tickets and then either doesn't use them, or sells them to out of town fans.

But honestly I think instead of bitching about what FedEx isn't, we all should make FedEx the best experience we can. Get there early, tailgate, be there for kickoff, cheer loudly, stay the whole time, and tailgate some more. It shouldn't matter how well or poorly the team is doing, you're there to have fun and cheer on the Skins.
I was at RFK...and I loved the place. I just think that if we win 3 Super Bowls in Fed Ex it would at least narrow the gap. The Fed Ex bashing comes from the losing as much as anything.

Yeah, but I don't think the people on this site are the problem.

One thing's for sure it would be nothing like it is now. It would definitely have a retractable roof for starters. It would probably be the most pimped out stadium in all of sports.

I'm sure we'll find out soon enough how he would do it.

Re: Why the FedEx Field Bashing?

I was asked to sit down by a female event staff opperator at Fed Ex. Oh yeah it was about 30 seconds before Troy Viencent block the field goal at the dallas game. WTF im suspose to sit down to watch the apperent cowgirls game winner, and not stand up and make noise. I should never have to sit down.
Did you see that eagles fag on TV that stood the entire time and changed his gay jerseys depending on if the gay eagles were on defense or offense. He didnt sit down. And how embarasing is that when the announsers talk about a eagles fan the entire time at a home game?
I love it when people in the front row hold signs at Fed Ex that say "loudest stadium in the NFL with 80,000 people". I turn my tv up so i can kid myself

Not to say your right or wrong about standing up but that Eagles fan had a wall behind him and not other people sitting. I myself like to stand most of the game and even do so while watching on TV.

Good God, I don't wanna even see the monster than Snyder builds next. You will be able to see it from space. I hope he builds himself a seat lower and closer to the field so we can yell at him during games haha

If we manage to win a super bowl in the next 2 years, I doubt we'll be yelling anything at him other than thank you.

I'm sorry Dan, didn't mean to offend you

No, no, I'm not saying I wouldn't be with you right now yelling at him. Dan has made a TON of mistakes, all I'm saying is, winning will silence all critics.
Dan brought back Gibbs, Gibbs brought in some seriously talented coaches. We won't win without them, and Dan made the ultimate decision to bring back a legend.

Re: Why the FedEx Field Bashing?

I do love Gibb's as our coach. I feel much more connected with the team when he speaks after the games, rather than say Spurrier or Turner. I take it to heart more when Gibbs is in charge.

I think we all see it that way. Gibbs is a very good speaker. He is like Lou Holtz, you look at him and he has very little physical presence, but when they speak, you listen.

Re: Why the FedEx Field Bashing?

I think the standing part is pretty silly actually. Particularly in the upper decks. It doesn't add a damn thing to the game, they don't even notice you up there. All you do is end up irritating others. Either the whole section should stand or sit. Not both though.

Nah, he'd sit in a throne at the top, right in the center, kinda like Caesar at the colliseum.
