ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST:Falcons Fire Jim Mora jr

saw about an hour ago on the nfl network/espn news, the falcons have canned jim mora jr after 3 years.i think he pretty much dug his own grave after saying he'djump the boat quickly if his alma mater washington state, offered him it's head coaching job.i'm sure when his dad came out and called michael vick a coach killer, and when vick said a few obscene things and gave the bird to the falcons fans all caught live during a broadcast, did'nt help much either!
according to espn, alabama has offered dolphins head coach nick saban 50 million dollars to coach alabama!he'd be stupid to not take that!

I agree.
I firmly believe that Mora did about the best possible job he could have in Atlanta.
The rose colored glasses are finally coming off about Vick for a lot of people, but some still believe him to be the 2nd coming of Jesus as a QB. They are wrong.

So you think Vick helped usher Mora to the door, or you think he was glad to be gone anyway? I know there are those who may disagree, but I've never thought Vick was a franchise QB, he's paid like it, but he's not.

What got Mora fired was him opening up his mouth saying he wanted another job. that sealed his fate. He deserved what he got.

That Vick coach killer crap is a bunch of BS. The team needs to look at why the 1st round draft picks at WR drop so mnay passes. Plus a lot of their defense was hurt. And giving big $ to fragile ass John Abrahm was a big mistake. The GM should also be fired.

I was really surprised at Vick's play down the stretch. I thought he showed some real progress this season, particularly with his accuracy. While it's true he has been overrated for some time, I almost think their has been a Vick backlash this season, and people all of a sudden act like he can't play. He's not there yet, but he still has as much raw ability as any other QB in history. I for one am rooting for the guy.

nfl network and espn news both said they had unnamed players come up and tell them if vicl would have came out and said something like he was comfortable with his coach,or we all played bad that mora would be back.

I agree, Mora did the best anyone could do in Atl. Vick is a great athlete but a below average QB. He's been in the league a while now and still makes a ton of mistakes. It does not matter who the caoch is, until Vick is gone as QB the Falcons are going nowhere.

Absolutely correct!

Vick passed for only 2474 yards in 16 games, and his comp. % was a HORRIBLE 52.7%. He has played in 74 regular season games in 6 years, and he still doesn't get it.
I pity the coach that takes control of the Falcons. They won't win with Vick, yet if he benches Vick he'll be sent out of town on a rail. It's a no win situation.

Vick needs Dan Reeves back. It'd be funny if Jim Mora Sr. took over actually.

Re: ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST:Falcons Fire Jim Mora jr

Vick gets alot of criticism thrown his way, but I honestly believe Mora's system didn't fit Vick's playing style. He also hasn't had the best WR's to throw to either.

I've followed Vick throughout his college career and so far in the NFL. He has the tools to be an elite QB in this league, but he has to be in the right offense to let him do what he does best.

A big part of Vick's problem is he shouldn't be in the WCO. He would be fine in a vertical offense.
