Bucking trend, Ozzfest admission: free

Pretty interesting to see how this will go:

In a move that bucks the trend of skyrocketing concert ticket prices, Ozzfest promoter Sharon Osbourne announced Tuesday that admission to the 25-city heavy metal tour -- which stops at Shoreline Amphitheatre -- will be free this summer.

Its free but Beer $20.00 Hot Dog $10.00 T-shirt 40.00 Parking 35.00 for a total of $105.00 and thats only if you drink one beer. LOL

wow. thats pretty interesting. well the whole thing started as a way for new bands to get exposure and promote themselves, and I think this will put the focus back on that and not so much the 'headliners'.

The only thing is for people who can afford tickets this going to make it tougher to get tickets to the show. They are not just opening the gates and letting people in you have to have a ticket. Everyone and their brother who likes Rock will want to go.

already planning for Aug 5th @ the VA Beach Pavilion. hopefully its not insanely hard to get the tickets through these sponsor sites.

Yeah isnt that insane. Ok, there are 4 dudes in that band, so at $325,000 per show, which is basically an hour give or take, that comes out to $81,250 per band member per hour!!? x how ever many shows they do for the tour. wow.

well, it's not just an hour, but even 80k per day is totally f'ing insane. good for ozzfest. I'll try to catch it if i'm not working it.
