10 year anniversary of JKC's death

Wow, didn't realize it was today.

'The Squire' is still sorely missed.

He is missed in so many ways. He was a great owner who really knew how to run a football team!

I still say Snyder should do the RIGHT thing and change the name of Fed Ex field back to it's original name...Jack Kent Cooke Stadium!

If any one owner should be immortalized, it should be JKC.

JKC would spend any money necessary and give his coach whatever he wants...just like Snyder

second that, always thought it was alil unclassy for snyder to sell/change the name, JKC knew his time was nearing an end and worked hard to get that stadium done with his name on it as a departing gift to both himself and the fans . . . way to downplay skins history danny boy for the sake of a few bucks! id much rather hear announcers and retell stories of games saying Jack Kent Cooke stadium instead of fedex field with its purple and greens and oranges WTF!

did soldiers field change its name or did the bears move?

He was a great owner!

On the fact about Snyder changing the name, you gotta think about it from someone who just paid a crap load of money to buy the team and the stadium. It was what 800 mil, Id prob change the name myself as well. Id also want a return on my investment, for those that don't know thats a huge point in business. Im sure most of us would sell the rights for the kind of money that Fedex paid. I wonder when that contract is up what happens.

God Bless JKC!

If i could as JKC one question it would be why didnt you simply leave the team to your son? That to this day still has me shaking my head.

People like to talk about Snyder being a meddlesome owner need to go back and look at how many times JKC threatened to fire Joe Gibbs and the entire team if they didn't win the Super Bowl and sit in on practices and meetings. The only difference between the two was JKC was smart enough to hire a GM. If Danny boy wants to win as bad as he seems to, he'll figure it out one day.

I think the stadium naming rights deal was a 25 year deal...either way, thank goodness it's not in Raljon anymore.
