1) what if Daniels is still Bad? what if he can't do nothing the whole year and will say"Should have signed a DE. 2)Rice and Strahan will make big plays big money!, or not I think they know they have to go cheap since of there problems /Plus Both are leaders and We................. look at there team They have no characters. If they came to us I garantee they'll love us -Look how Moss turned out he didn't like the jets and now hes Happy and wants to stay with the skins forvever/

Re: Redskins Could Become a Suitor for Strahan?
There both are old and asking big money but it doesn't mean they won't be good.Bruce Smith still did good even at a Old age plus look who we got Daniels at 34 and hes taking some big money also.
So who would u raither have Rice -Strahan or Daniels is is already old and is going to be released by next year?. We sign RIce than OK all depending of how he does or if Bad than Drafting a DE is good to.But if Strahan comes in than most likely for one year ,than he'll make something happen!what do we have to lose. Will end up with a young DE in the 1st round in 1 or 2 years. But think about this? We get them now than next draft we won't have to Worry about a DE and could either draft a WR (IF randle el and lloyd suck) OR a Good TE who can block?.

Are you saying we should take Rice or Strahan, because even if they ask for a lot of money they are better than what we have, and will make plays. And then next year, since we'll have Rice or Strahan we don't have to worry about DE help in the draft?

They both know they won't be a Huge bargain now since Rice didn't pass Test and i think he'll end up cheap if he likes Football alot since hes on that way for no signing or retirement. Strahan knows he might be done and knows hes not that Big anymore but Hopefully i hope he thinks straight.

I dont agree with that at all. Even if we do sign Strahan or Rice, we will be looking for D-end help next off-season.

Re: Redskins Could Become a Suitor for Strahan?
The Skins won't sign either. I bet Rice signs with the Titans before the week's over and Strahan will have his gay ass in camp in a week or so.
We'll make do with what we have. |

Re: Redskins Could Become a Suitor for Strahan?
Strahan will be like Bruce Smith, some production maybe at times, but not worth the acquisition or compensation for him. IF he(Snyder) wanted a guy we should have signed Rice. Snyder is a dumbass. I used to be a staunch Snyder backer, but enough is enough. We should have drafted some DE's with our low picks. They could have made the team as starters. THese LB's we have are either special teams or practice squad fodder.

I am not certain Rice will fit in though. We need run stoppers too, and Rice only goes after the sack. Anyone thinking about Strahan, please think of Bruce Smith, but his last year here only. What a waste.

Re: Redskins Could Become a Suitor for Strahan?
From John Clayton ESPN
Strahan's statement.......... The complete statement Michael Strahan issued a statement to fans on Sunday regarding his decision on whether to keep playing or retire. Statement Before camp, he vacationed in the south of France. Once he returned, he faced a tough decision. His heart apparently wasn't into reporting to camp. The Giants, who have been to the playoffs the past two seasons, have had a tough offseason and head coach Tom Coughlin is fighting to keep his job past this year. "This offseason has been one of the best in my professional career," Strahan said. "I have worked extremely hard to make sure that I'm in shape and ready to tackle the rigors of another physical season. I am proud to say that my body feels years younger and ready to compete at the highest level. I love training and preparation, and this offseason has made it clear to me that this is one aspect of the game that I will miss tremendously when I decide to one day unstrap the helmet for the last time. I went into this offseason with every intention of entering a 15th season with the Giants, the only team I've ever played for during my career. "I am human and despite the images of me grimacing and tackling opposing quarterbacks and running backs, I have to face my mortality like anyone else. When an athlete like myself who does what I do for a living starts having doubts, then it's time to take a step back and seriously consider my future. Anyone who played in the NFL with doubts or second guessing is not only putting themselves at risk, but their teammates also. I will never do that." It is believed Strahan will take a couple more weeks to decide what to do. The team will continue to fine him. "You have my word that I will try to make the correct decision as quickly as possible," Strahan concluded. "If I decide to play, I hope that you will continue to cheer me on like you have for all of these years. If I decide to hang up the cleats, then I will bid you all a tremendous thank you for the privilege to play a game that has blessed me in so many ways and created memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. I humbly thank you for your understanding and being the best fans." John Clayton is a senior NFL writer for ESPN.com Last edited by Giantone; 08-06-2007 at 10:25 AM. Reason: spelling |

Re: Redskins Could Become a Suitor for Strahan?
Strahan will not be coming here. he will retire or show up for camp. Depends on wether the Giants are willing to pony up the dough. He can say what he wants but that is what is about. they bump up his salary and his wanting to play will go up as the dollars go up.
