I believe the Texans could win 7-8 games next year, but that is sheerly based on my liking of Matt Schaub and my thinking that their D wont suck forever if they keep pumping 1st round picks into it.
Houston is going to be very good very soon. They have picked up some great defensive linemen over the past two seasons. Schaub is going to be very good probably as soon as this year. Ahman Green is not the answer at RB, but that is a big upgrade over last year. They don't have enough pieces in the secondary to make that defensive jump just yet, but I have them down for 7 wins, and that jump will happen, sooner rather than later.

I agree wholly. Ahman Green is DEF not their answer at RB but, like you said, he is a SIGNIFICANT upgrade at RB. Now, if they could get some good O-Linemen they might ACTUALLY be able to run the ball. LOL.

Um, that is a bit of a drastic statement I predict the Browns will go 4-12 / 5-11. And I have a feeling the Texans will be fairly decent this year.

Hmmmm...Maybe I'm not the ONLY person who thinks the Texans cant SUCK forever.

I do think pretty highly of their defense this year. Leigh Bodden is a great corner. Kamerion Wimbley and D'Qwell Jackson quietly had great rookie years. I think they will take the next step.

But the main reason I say 8 and not 7 or 6 is because of a soft out-of-division schedule. NFC West for starters, and a 4th place divisional schedule, giving them Houston, Oakland, and Miami. They will win more games than those 3 teams.

I see playoffs for them next season (2008), when Quinn begins to look like the Carson Palmer of 2004.
Don't forget SS Sean Jones on that D of theirs, I think he is going to become one of the elite safeties in the league in a few years, but anyways I think Brady Quinn is going to be absolutely horrible in the NFL, and I think the Browns have a better chance at winning with Frye and Anderson starting over Quinn.

Maybe as a rookie, but the evidence suggests that come the 2008 season, Quinn will leave the other two in the dust.

What the hell happened to Dominack Davis? He was a stud there for a little while, then fell of the planet.

When I went to look up his stats, I couldn't find him...football reference has him down as Dominack Williams...when did he change his name?

See? GM material!

Honestly, I really don't know. Dominick Davis was the perfectly average NFL back for the longest time. Then he became Dominick Williams and apparently lost the ability to be famous.

Well, i thought he was above average for being on a team with a horrible line. His rookie year he had 8 tds, and 1382 all purpose yards. 04 he had 14 tds, 1776 all purpose yards. (he also ranked tied for 4th in rushing tds and tied for 5th in yards from scrimmage in 04 which is huge for a guy on a talentless team). Injuries hurt his 05 season, but he did have 6 tds and 1313 all purpose yards in only 11 games. (that means he would have averaged out to 1420 rushing yards that year if he stayed healthy)
To me, his numbers reflected an above average guy, in fact a top 10 rb talent. I am assuming he had an injury he couldn't recover from, but that's just a guess.

I really don't understand all the Brady Quinn hype, from what I heard he looked horrible in OTA workouts, and I think there is a reason he dropped so far in the draft I just don't think there were many GM's that saw franchise QB potential in him. But only time will tell. My guess is he is just going to be a mediocre QB at best.

Thats why Romeo Crennel will be seeking work next year! I would think Quinn would be the guy when its all said and done, but who knows or even cares for that matter.

Look at his college stats for 1, look at his size for 2, how many QB's went ahead of him in the draft (1) is 3, and the fact that he was still picked in the FIRST round, and the fact that someone traded up to get him is 4.
Just because he "fell" from what the "experts" though means nothing.
Don't be fooled, Quinn has all the tools.
