Re: KENDALL to the Redskins (confirmed)

I'm receiving multiple text messages from my anti-Skins friends, congratulating me on "shitting away more draft picks." I feel like getting a proven high-caliber player to fill a position of pressing need, only needing to give the guy a $1M raise (small potatoes relatively speaking), giving up only a mid-to-late round pick, and not signing him to some ridiculous extension is VERY SMART front office football. I love this move. I'm sure Jason Campbell does too. Let's face it folks, a converted, injured Todd Wade and Mike Puccillo weren't gonna cut it. And the coaches obviously agree. Now hopefully Wade can spell Jansen and Fabini can also fill in when needed. This is big for us.

So when the Colts did it to basically borrow Booger McFarland last year for the Super Bowl, how did they feel about that?

This isn't Brandon Lloyd for a 3rd and 4th pick.

This is immediately boosting our weakest position. Great move by the F.O., you've got to give them credit for pushing this forward. Hopefully it works out, and we keep a healthy O-line.

I'm 100% for this one, excellent pick up.

This says it was for a fourth round pick, which is kind of high, but it's not that bad.

Jets trade Kendall to Redskins for fourth-round pick

Very nice pick up for the price! Kendall is a good addition up front.

On a Cowboys note since you are of the more unbiased of Cowboys fans around here. What have been your early criticisms of Leonard Davis? I haven't caught any of their games besides Sportscenter stuff and was wondering if he was worth the price.

You're right. It seems when the skins make a move, it's here we go again...

but if the colts and pats make a move, they're brilliant.

My two best friends are Giants and Eagles fans, and they are used to having plenty of front office gaffes to mock me about. They just wish this was a bad move. They know football, and they know it was a smart play by the Skins, they just love to forcefeed the hate.

They just updated the article and now it says its a 5th rounder that can upgrade to a 4th

If I remember correctly they gave up an even more valuable pick than we did.

Re: KENDALL to the Redskins (confirmed)

How old is this guy? Is he a geezer. If he is a younger FA I don't have a problem with it, but if he is a Bruce Smith type, it is just going to be a short term fix for a long term problem. WE could have acquired a G with that 5th rounder next season. ASctually we shoud have drafted a G this year.

Re: KENDALL to the Redskins (confirmed)

On a side note, I was reading the ESPN release for the Kendall signing and if anyone was worried about his attitude, remember that he took a paycut because he didn't feel like he deserved that money for how he played one year and then he stepped it up and wanted the money back. Is that so wrong? We ask Redskin players to take pay cuts and/or take less guaranteed money each year.

Kendall is a stop-gap measure for this year and maybe the next two. The odds of that fifth round pick outplaying him are slim to none.
