Re: Week 1 game thread: Dolphins at Skins
Offense looking a bit rough, defense looking good. Shocked the secondary is giving up so many big plays. We really need to test their corners a bit more.
Where are those Gwill blitz's

Re: Week 1 game thread: Dolphins at Skins
We look so bad because Campbell threw ONE Int instead of 0 and we have 1 Sack instead of 5. And 1 fumble recovery instead of 3.
The secondary is playing a bit loose. And we haven't gotten a lot of pressure on Green. But otherwise the defense has been nothing but good. Our offense hasn't even showed up. Receivers are dropping balls and aren't running routes right. Campbell missed a wide open Moss on a 3rd down. Looks like a case of not enough practice. So everyone is losing their minds and wanting to put Brunell in the game.

I think that Defense is on Point. Holding someone to 7 points in one half? Even with tons of 3 and outs? I think they are doing just right.

Re: Week 1 game thread: Dolphins at Skins
Let's be real. If someone makes observations, it does not mean that they are being negative. Most point out the things that are going well and those that aren't. In order for our defense to be successful in this league - we need a pass rush. Holding any team under 50 yards rushing at the half is great, but I want to see our pass coverage perform better. This is not a good receiving group in Miami - but King Kong Bundy could catch a slant if Green as 8 seconds to throw!
Just food for thought - you do the dishes

Re: Week 1 game thread: Dolphins at Skins
Offensive line is doing well, although not much to speak for in the running game thus far. Campbell is playing too inconsistent at this point. I think he's had maybe three good throws all game. I hope he gets his shit together the second half, because we can't have our defense on the field the whole game or Trent Green will start picking us apart.
NOT impressed with Smoot or Rogers so far. No pressure on Green except for the first series or two. We're doing well against the running game, but if our offense can't get going the defense will wear down quick and that will all change. Bottom line, we need to come out and put together a long drive for a TD and take back the momentum. Good job 12th man. |
