Re: Cardinals vs Redskins game thread

Do you want to know what's going on w/ the Skins? Players are beginning to actually lose confidence in the ability of their coaches! I said it would happen if the playcalling didn't improve and I think it's already here. Very obvious even before that Gibbs/Saunders completely lack ability to motivate our offensive guys - even when their play is decent it has not looked inspired this season. Now guys are doubting whether Gibbs/Saunders really have the ability to calling a winning game - the whole offense is completely dejected out there. Big questions now are whether the malaise spreads to the defense and how long the Gibbs/Saunders era will last.

Seems like that. Comcast post-game reporter was out there reporting Sellers trying to ask, why they got so conservative out there the whole game and then even moreso in the second half. And then kept going with the running game when it obviously wasn't effective. And man I've never seen a dude tap dance around questions so much. All he could say was, "I'm just a player, I go out there and do what they tell me. I won't know till we look at film".

Boy, that interview was just uncomfortable to watch.

I absolutely think you're on to something here. You know, while the offensive line has major issues, I still refuse to believe that's the bigger issue here. I think it's convienient to point to that, but these guys are playing inspired ball week in and week out.

It's been a re-occuring theme for the past four years. Get a lead going into half-time and let the game slip away. And depending on how bad the other team is, we might come away with a win.

I'm really done talking about it.

No you're not. There's not going to be a whole lot else to talk about as the season progresses. Unless you're gonna stop posting altogether, which means all you're aggression will get taken out on wife, kids, dog, employees, etc.

We don't want that, do we?

Yeah, you're right....let me go kick my wife's ass!

But seriously, I think I'm pretty much done talking about our ups and downs from week to week and what that can be attributed to. That much, I'm blue in the face.

The play calling has been horrendous for most of the season. Really lame and not like the Gibbs offense of old. I thought Saunders was going to open things up, but he has closed up the offense, and with all the talent we have, it is unbelievable what is going on. I also want to know where is Gibbs in all of this? Don't you think this guy who had a nice run n gun type thing going during his first run with the Skins would be thinking WTF is going on here?!! I mean his 1984 team had the season scoring record for over a decade, and his other teams were not too far off from the '84 mark either. The guy is a protege of Don Coreyll and he needs this bum Saunders to run the O? I am beginning to wonder exactly where does Coach Gibbs fit in all of this, I mean is he truly the HC or just sort of a figurehead like Joe Paterno is now at PSU or how Bear Bryant was during his last 5-6 seasons at Bama? A legend people love, but in reality isn't running the show.

Re: Cardinals vs Redskins game thread

Well if were deciding if this is a win or a loss....since we lost two games we should have won, I guess we were due to win a game that we should have lost....bottom line, we've been bad....but we havent been this bad offensivley this season. Today was 2004 type bad, there was a point deep in the second quarter where I turned to my friend and said "Have we even played offense yet?"

Regardless a win is a win...so thats the additude I'll take on the subject. However, if we play like that next weekend, we'll lose by 40.

** In addition, I'm not getting on the coaching staff for that screen play at the end of the half, if we completle that, its going about 30 yards the other way, so I thought that one was a good call, poor execution....the rest of the game, I'll get on the coaches bigtime, but that play which alot of people are complaining about, I actually liked alot.

I don't know. Maybe he was serious about the tendinitis before the season. But, he hasn't looked like Clinton Portis. But, thank God we have him, if for his blocking alone. He saved Campbell's butt big time today.

London Fletcher pumps his fist and that's taunting? Worst ref crew in the NFL those are the bozos that muffed the coin toss one year.

Worst call I have ever seen. Hello GW can you please send a minor blitz at Warner on the goaline?

I was nearly shitting my pants but if we feel bad imagine if you were a Cards fan after that one????

Lets get healthy and go to NE balls to the wall.....

You know what happens to Redskins trades and FA's: You let them go and they flourish somewhere else.

He needs to be here, he will produce if given the time and chance (and yes, I know he's gotten a lot of chances). Moss is getting a bad rap cause he hasn't had a 2006 season so far this season.
Moss had a huge fall off last reason, but most of didn't notice. Check the stats. Terrible for a No. 1. I'm afraid he might actually be through, for some reason I don't understand (probably medical).

Re: Cardinals vs Redskins game thread

shit all this talk about al saunders, we didnt even need to hire his retarded ass in the first place, our offense wasnt holy crap killer in our playoff run, but that was with brunell... granted he played well for us.... but i dont really think we needed a new playcaller dumbass saunders man, moss was so much better... cooley was great.... the run game was better..... o-line problems or not, i firmly bleeve saunders play calling/book is a serious issue, i dont think the players bought into it, even in 1 & a half yrs in... its just not working for us, when gibbs / don bruex playbook/calling was working fine IMO... and would have even been better this year, with ARE,B LLOYD, MOSS, COOLEY, they not exactly the fun bunch but they could be good at least like them...
