So long as Brunell is QB we will go no where, who one today's game? Defense and special team's, Portis had to throw our only TD pass which was set up by Thrashes return, once in a while you get a win like this but it aint happening every week especially when we play playoff caliber team's, if the switch isn't made we will be singing the blues in the upcoming week's about the one we let get away, I do think though Gibb's is starting to warm up to the idea of a QB change, almost 150yds. rushing by Portis, no sack's, decent protection, and Portis show's that reciever's are open you just have to throw it properly, I think Gibb's will be looking long and hard this week at narrowing down our problem's to Brunell, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Ramsey is taking half the snap's this week and probably will see action in the second half of the Bengal game.

Great point Paintrain. We could easily be 5-3. The defense has been uncanny all year long and now the special teams are shaping up as stellar. It is only a matter of time when our offense starts to gel. It is conceivable that even for this year we could make the playoffs. I am mainly concerned that get ourselves in a real groove by the end of the year, working on all cylinders as best as possible. I look for us to pick up another win against Cincy, and maybe we will have some surprises in store for the Eagles and upset them. |

I was always under the impression that defense wins champsionships...unless you have an old, stubborn head coach who won't change with the times (see JoePa and Gibbie)

There's no comparing Paterno and Gibbs as far as age.
Paterno is pushing 80, isn't he? Now that's an old man. Gibbs isn't even the oldest coach in the NFL. So let's get off the old man stuff and show the guy a little respect. |

Im skeptical about Lavar's return .. will he be back for our Pennsylvania road trip?
probably not ... i am excited to watch him play in a system wear he doesnt have to shoulder the responsibility and can roam free and use his athleticism to raise havoc. |

Also, I think Paintrain pointed out on another thread that the playoffs really aren't a long shot when you look at the records of non division leaders in the NFC

I agree that the season is a bit shakey at this moment, but i do think that we can use the bengal game as a "make or break" game. I also think that Brunell needs to sit back and relize that he needs to do something or sit down, it is not fair to the rest of the team. Brunell potentially can be a good QB. He looks like he isn't comfortable in the offense. Gibbs did the right thing in going out and getting him, the price might have not been so good, but hopefully Ramsey can at least learn something from him.
