He may be an a-hole but he still does a good interview.

Jim Rome gives the best interviews. He's far and away my favorite interviewer

Keep asking questions, keep Hailing the Redskins, and good luck with your flag football, it is a great sport and you will have a blast. Being that you are from the area, if you really want to catch the bug, I recommend getting tickets to the game. Seeing it live will make you fall in love with the team even more. I have been to FedEx twice now and it was amazing.

Hail.
Thanks. Yeah I can't wait to go to a game. That said, I have to. lol. Broke college student. I might not make it this season, but I'm making it my mission to go see a game next season. By then I'll really know my stuff and will likely be able to enjoy it alot more anyway. One f the supervisors where I work goes to see every skins at dallas game, so next year I might try to get a lift with his party. I'd rather go with a group. Though likely when I know I have tickets, I'll post here to see if anyone wants to carpool early and tailgate. Some of these cats out around farmville perhpas. I'm also west of Richmond so it wouldn't be a stretch.

Yeah I am slowly beginning to enjoy Rome's interview. he can still be an ass when he "burns" people calling into his radio show. It is pretty f'ed up.

Beside that I think he sounds pretty funny too, see Calideno's impression.

One thing I hate is the clones, calling up with their stupid takes they are totally reading off a piece of paper, trying to talk like him. That gets annoying.

What like this? I'm punching the ejection botton on myself before my take starts smoking and goes down in flames Rome... I'M OUT!!

I haven't listened to Rome in years but when I did the clones would bug me too. You could just tell that they had been writing there stupid little take all day. Just for the chance to practically hyperventilate while reading it on the air.

Rome is great. I have not heard him much lately as well. I was listening to somebody the other day. Some radio guy. According to him, that's not an act. That's how Rome is........I'm out!

Although as I learn more about Cooley, Portis, Cambell, Taylor, I'm liking more and more to. And I am in awe of Jim Zorn. I know you guys are still testing him out, but just personality wise he is such a character!

We definitely have a number of characters on this team, but they're all great players and they're devoted to winning, which is great. I have to disagree with you about Taylor though. What's to like about so far? When he has played, he's done very little, and we threw away a high draft pick for him. I don't care if he's been Defensive Player of the Year, he's got a lot to prove on this team before he joins the ranks of Portis, Captain Chaos, etc.

Re: Santana Moss on Jim Rome

Rome is a complete d-bag. The man has made a career out of screaming out platitudes, though somehow convincing people that he's providing valuable insight. If you actually listen to WHAT he is saying rather than HOW he is saying it, you quickly realize he's not really saying anything at all.

Re: Santana Moss on Jim Rome

Frank Caliendo's impression of Rome is absolutely priceless.

WELCOME! What IS up?

The way Rome tries to use slang in his deep, white boy voice cracks me up. "I see you've got some nice bling there, dawg. Excellent. Props to you." (In the whitest voice imaginable) LOL!!

In general I think he's pretty pompous, but he does give a good interview, and he unintentionally cracks me up all the time, so I watch/listen when I have a chance.

Oh, and the way he calls T.O. "to" is great. He loves to rip that guy. Gotta like that.
