Re: What's Wrong with the Redskins?
And I'm not trying to say that we've had great, or even good OL production recently. Just that they've been much better of late, and that if they were the only issue, we'd be doing much, much better on offense.

Re: What's Wrong with the Redskins?
We need standout player makers on both the OL, DT, linebacker and 2nd, 3rd receivers. We don't match up well with physical teams. a serious lack of execution. Too much system football you may be holding back the reins of possibly a player being dominate or outstanding

Re: What's Wrong with the Redskins?
Fwiw, my Game Charting numbers say that the No. 1 problem with the receiving corps aside from no depth and development behind ARE is that Moss is a huge part of our offense, but is generally unreliable.
I would really like to see Malcolm Kelly emerge as THE go-to target in this offense, and then we can go base 3 WR with Moss and Randle El, and Cooley dominating the middle of the field. Then all we have to do is replace Thrash on the roster in the offseason with a speed threat (Devery Henderson?), and I think most of our offensive issues are solved. I would use the draft to fix OL, but I wouldn't worry about trying to fix it all in one year. Pick one prospect we really like, and draft him, and start him from day one. I still have faith that this group can do a mediocre job in the future. Well, not you Casey Rabach, but that seems like a simple fix.

Re: What's Wrong with the Redskins?
Receiver Success Rate (5 targets min):
Antwaan Randle El (70%) Chris Cooley (62.5%) Mike Sellers (55.6%) Malcolm Kelly (50.0%) Santana Moss (49.4%) Devin Thomas (44.4%) Clinton Portis (39.3%) James Thrash (29.4%) Todd Yoder (28.6%) Ladell Betts (16.7%) The loose threshold for reliability is about 50% in this statistic. As a No. 1 WR, Moss really shouldn't be below 50%. He's still good for 9+ YPA because he's a deep threat and moves well after the catch, but the general unreliability is rubbing off on Campbell, I believe. These two are essentially tied at the hip, and it would be nice for Campbell to be able to have a different go-to guy, with Moss as an effective third down target that slips by defenses unoticed. Though this is a pipe dream for the rest of this year.

Re: What's Wrong with the Redskins?
The Skins just dont have the offensive talent now to do what Zorn wants. They have a QB thats still learning and CP is great but he's the only RB they have that can do anything. As for WRs, after Moss & Cooley there is nobody that scares defenses and the rookies appear at this point to be busts. The O line is old & creaky with no young talented replacements in sight. I hope the FO can do something to fix this but I have little confodence in them.

Re: What's Wrong with the Redskins?
This is an easy one. We don't score points. In order to be successfull and win games you must score points. Some reasons?
Lack of WR talent Lack of superior QB play Inconsistent O line play We can get deeper into the problems but there it is. |

I think he does, that's why teams take him away.
