I voted Other. I think the entire offense deserves the mvp...The o-line protected ramsey...ramsey got the ball to the receivers...the receivers actually caught the balls...portis and betts were awesome...and the coaches called a great game..
But of course I think the defense was solid. Can't take anything away from them. Oh hell, I really think the magic socks get the mvp..There was a pair on offense and defense....so it's even. (M)ost (V)aluable (P)air...of socks...lol |

It was a complete game, so it's tough to choose. I went with Portis because he played mistake free football after three bad outings. Lots of second effort and decisiveness.
This game is what we expected all along. There will be bumps along the road, but if you had to explain Joe Gibbs football to someone, you'd show them this tape.

O-Line made everything possible so they get my vote. Best thing I heard on the post game spin is what Sonny siad on his "Final thougt" on NBC. Something like "Great day for the coaches since they were able to prove that what they were doing would work in this league if the players execute it correctly." I thinm everything was hitting on all cylinders for the first time in a long long while.

I went with the O-line. Really, the entire team deserves it...well except for special teams. Ramsey and Portis were excellent, but Betts also had a great day relieving CP (11 carries for 64 yds), so the O-line deserves the props.
Also, GREAT play calling by Gibbs! And all of the WR's actually caught the ball!!! :headbange |

It should go to Jeff Feagles. He had a bunch of great punts forcing the Skins to start inside their 20. The skins were then able to get a few extra practice plays as they marched down the field. If the skins had started at the 35 a few times for example, they may have had 2 or 3 less plays per drive and thus not had as good of a practice as they did for next week's game.
Damn, I am losing my mind. |

I went with Ramsey - I thought he played awesome, but this was the hardest poll ever. Portis was great as was the O line. The receivers caught the ball. The playcalling was superb and let's not forget the DEFENSE. They've been playing so well I feel like I'm starting to take them for granted. The whole team deserves a game ball except for the punt coverage.
