Re: Holt released by Rams
If we can get him for the right price, I say go for it. Our Wr corp sucks and the jury is out whether these rooks are ever going to pan out for another year or two.

Re: Holt released by Rams
Getting Holt would be far more impressive to me than getting Haynesworth.
I really don't know if it is feasible though..It sure would be cool! I can dream cant I?

Re: Holt released by Rams
Why would you say that...our offense sucks...Holt is fantastic...is it because of the money we'd have to pay to get him?
Are you in love with ARE or the other nobodys? Imagine Moss and Holt while grooming the rookies...odds are 1 of em wont make it. It is arguable that Holt is better than Moss He is a high impact player...one that I believe we should go after hard

Re: Holt released by Rams
if you could get holt or harrison in super cheap, it might be worthwhile to have them help the rookies... i don't know how much they'd want though.

Re: Holt released by Rams
Is "Roster Bonus Year" code for "year he will get cut no matter"? Seems like most teams would keep some veterans or at least not go through the motions of cutting just to resign if there were no roster bonus provisions.

Re: Holt released by Rams
We screwed up Jason Taylor. Given our history with Recievers I'd say we'd have a pretty good chance of slightly tarnishing Holt's legacy.

Re: Holt released by Rams
The only thing that's going to help the young guys are themselves. They've already got two pros in front of them in Moss and ARE. I don't think we need Holt or Harrison.

and the offense does suck...what...I think 28th in the league or something? How's that good? Holt hasn't missed a game ....EVER...keep that in mind. He is rock solid and I'm telling you...if the Eagles or Dallas get's him, they are instantly better...we would be too...just because Taylor didn't do well, doesn't mean Holt wouldn't...I bet if you were offered Holt prior to last year yardage drop, you'd be humping his leg....be realistic...there is NO chance either of the Rookies will ever reach Holts level....quite frankly, I doubt Moss will either...and no way ARE even belongs in the same sentance. Holt is solid...he would make the WR team instantly better...unless you think Thrash is our clutch vet that can train up the rookies....Duh back to you.

Re: Holt released by Rams
Holt has always been a great receiver but it's time for the rooks to step up and the best way to do that is by playing them.

Re: Holt released by Rams
Agreed. Sink or swim. Kelly and Thomas have had time to 1) learn the playbook front to back 2) become crisp(er) route runners 3) build chemistry w/ JC. It's time to really test them both. We all know what Moss and ARL can do and they're gonna be there all season... let Kelly and Thomas take like 75% of the snaps in preseason.

Re: Holt released by Rams
No way. He was released by the Rams...the 2008 Rams, not the 1999 Rams. There's a very good reason he is unemployed right now, he's no longer a #1 WR. I see him being a nice complement in New England or now in Buffalo. An aging WR clearly on the decline...he's definitely not what the Redskins need.
