Thanks tryfuhl. I never attended a game at RFK unfortunately. I wish I would have. Great footage.

Re: Sweet lil slideshow of RFK

Very well done. Thanks for sharing. I actually never got to go to a game in RFK.

I loved the "luxury boxes" which consisted of padded folding chairs.

It will be sad to see it demolished, but it is looking ragged. Maybe someday the Redskins can return to the site.

It would be great to get one of the names from the Ring of Honor. Sammy Baugh specifically, but I wouldn't complain about any of them. It was great to have the Heroes of Sept 11 put up there. Classy move from the classiest organization in sports.

Re: Sweet lil slideshow of RFK

I remember the first game I went there in 85.The whole place literally vibrated and shook with the crowd's excitement. It was magical for a 7yr old, and I was hooked on the Skins ever since. FED EX is a beautiful ballpark, but,its atmosphere, and homefield advantage of the Redskins is not even close to what RFK was.

Camden Yards is a GREAT place to watch a game. I am not an O's fan but I love that park. Being right beside the Inner Harbor makes it great, you can spend a whole day there for a game.

The ring of honor plates were taken down before the Nats moved in, no clue what was done with them.

Re: Sweet lil slideshow of RFK

It's old and lacks many amenities, but RFK has atmosphere. FedEx field has many amenities needs a lot more memories to truly have an aura to it.
