actually all the reports including ESPN, said sources close to the situation, or something more vague, the only interview I saw with JC was one where he said it hurt, but nothing about requesting a trade. We will see, but at this point you have to think that whatever hurt may have occurred is overcomeable(lol) if JC plays lights out, and DS pays lights out. Both of which I think will happen

Well, I would think that the Campbell camp would be up in arms about articles like this then:
Quote:
Washington Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell has made it clear to the franchise: if they continue to pursue a successor or a replacement for him, then he's going to request a trade.
Maybe you are right, but I would think he actually did say it since he's not pissed off about it.

Please find me an exact quote from Jason or his agent, not an attribution of words that he may or may not have said.

And you are forgetting that VC could have said to Steve Wyche, "Guess what Jason told me this morning..." even though JC said nothing.

Oh yeah, don't forget that JC may have been in on the whole thing, so he would not have been pissed by anything (including possibly bogus Cutler trade talks, by the way).

that is what he said, and look I trust Cerrato's comments as far as I can throw Orakpo, but I believe they called and offered a modest deal to move up, just so they could say they did it. you gotta admit after Jacksonville every team got good guys who dropped because Sanchez went so high and Oakland was Oakland.

Maybe, or maybe we just didn't have enough ammunition that we were willing to give up. We have no 2nd rounder, for example.

Re: 2009 NFL Draft Chat/Discussion

If Campbell struggles again this year, what do we do? DO you prefer McCoy, Bradford, or Tebow? If Campbell struggles again , we should be in pretty good position to get one of those guys.

Ill tell you what this is gong to lead to at year end, especiallyif Campbell lights it up this year. He's either gonna tell them to: a. kiss his ass and leave or, b. hold them hostage when it comes time to renegotitate. And people wonder why the skins have only made the playoffs 3 times since 1992. Thanks alot Snyder and Cerrato or shoud I say Dumb and Dumber.
cool story, hansel

there are 3 qb's coming out next year that will likely be better than sanchez

If this is true, I need to give the FO a standing ovation. What a snow job they did on everyone, including me.

About your previous post, well, like the quote I provided, as a reporter, you can't report something that is untrue. You haven't provided any proof of Campbell refuting it, therefore you must assume it is correct until proven otherwise.

All in all, I suppose it doesn't really matter. We got who I REALLY wanted in Orakpo, and nothing is going to change that. Don't care how it happened, just that it did. I'm thrilled!
