This is huge. The Seahawks would've had one of the best LB corps in the NFL with Hill, Tatupo, and Curry. I wonder if the Skins will/can make a move. He turned down 36 mil over 6 years.

What nice about him he would hit the road fast and be a very good player from day one and be around a few years. It would give us a D that would play with the likes of the NFC East! A D that would shorten the field for our O!

Re: Leroy Hill A Free Agent!!

Hill will definitely cost more than the Skins want to put out to address the SLB
situation.. There are still more options in the draft and with Orakpo's versatility,
He sometimes lined up as a LB in Texas, We might see a hybrid of DE/LB. I think
we will also be resigning MW, who I still love, too.

A defense that could help a O that has some work to do. A shorten field and even scoring it's self could go along way to winning the east! Danny work the numbers!

I love MW too but can he stay on the field or has father time tapped him on the shoulder? With Hill he is younger and could be a big factor in winning this year and years to come!

I like MW alot too and think he may be back, although we did sign Robert Thomas. MW looked to me like he had lost a step last year. But he brings such a great attitude and is a good locker room guy.

He turned down 36 mil? then he's too expensive for us. Shit. MW for veteran minimum?

I don't think MW can play at the level needed. I like Hill and if we can afford this then he will be worth getting. This will give us 3 tackling machines at the lb spots.

U know what bro the more I thought about the Thomas signing it makes sense that he is our backup WLB. We haven't heard anything about Khary Campbell returning to us, who was a great SP guy but the coaches did not trust to play on defense. With Thomas they have a guy who can be a legitimate backup to Rocky. I bet we still address SLB. Hill would be awesome but he'll probably be too expensive to our cap unless we cut some guys to make room. Daniels or Wynn could go and maybe Rock if we draft his replacement. I can't really think of anyone else.

...so it's probably Marcus over Hill right? I luv, luv, luv Mr. Washington and will be thrilled to get him back. He deserves to play on this defense, which he's carried off and on since '04.

According to JLC the team has not shown an interest in Hill.

Redskins Insider - Skins Not Expressing Interest in Leroy Hill

Any word on Levi Jones from Cincy?

Yeah, I think you are right on about Thomas and the Will spot.

As for Hill, we'll have to see how the bidding works out. But if he wants near the $6 mil that he turned down from Seattle, we'd have to cut even more players than you mention. I don't see that happening.

I think Thomas said the other day, the weakside is where he feels most comfortable and where he wants to play.
