Violence always works when applied correctly. Complete and utter destruction.

Re: Mancow Waterboarded, Admits It's Torture
Waterboarding is downright minor compared to what goes on in third world countries. Would you rather suffer genital mutilation, and limbs removed, stoned to death etc..
My brother-in-law onced described the very interesting things they do with telephone books and the back of the neck, makes waterboarding look like a day at Disney. I do agree that if our soldiers have done horrible things to innocent Iraqis then they should be accountable but lets face it, 99.9% of those wearing the uniform are honorable individuals (one happens to be my brother and the other my bro-in-law). |

Re: Mancow Waterboarded, Admits It's Torture
This whole argument is stupid. The point is we are waterboarding innocent people. That is the problem with torture IMO. I don't we have the right to do this to people who don't deserve it.
It is easy for you all to say that is a price we have to pay, because we aren't in their shoes. After we capture OSama, yes let's waterboard the heck outta him, but a lot of the people could be innocent. Also it is proven these methods are not always effective. When being waterboarded you agree to almost anything just to make it stop. People even make up stories.

Re: Mancow Waterboarded, Admits It's Torture
Sorry guys, I didn't know that. I thought from some of the stuff I heard there was suspicion that it was more than just those three.
Now that I know all that, I find it more acceptable, but I still feel it will probably be abused if accepted(waterboarding). Torture law is black and white to my understanding, and for a good reason. The whole slippery slope deal. Anyways it is a tough issue then, not as simple as I thoguht it was. Do we remain the high moral country or do ends justify means?
