I am going to bow out of this conversation. I deal in reality.
Good stuff man...good stuff. And I'm right there w/ you on Betts...a number of teams would luv to have him and probably ran him like crazy over the last few years...our downfall for not using him.

The defense has been awesome. But the offense is still broke.

Re: Training Camp Updates:

What about Tryon? I keep thinking we could've drafted an offensive lineman instead of him. I hope he is able to show us something this year. Anyway, we should've gone for a center or guard, but it's too late to second guess Cerrato's picks for 2008.

Nothing. He is good at most things. I am tired of a good #2 RB.
He fumbles really well.

Would you prefer to have a crappy one?

That could be arranged easy enough.

I said a stacked team; but since you guys deal in reality, from 3 years ago, I'll let it slide, that's reality enough for me.

Re: Training Camp Updates:

I just read about how Colt has gone all of training camp without throwing a pick, until today. That's very impressive, considering campbell the day I saw him, was picked twice and so was Collins. Very impressive.

Re: Training Camp Updates:

Anyone else notice that Zorn never really praises Colt?

I could understand it last year because even though Brennan was on fire in the preseason he was just winging it half the time and the coaches can't let a rookie play outside the system and freelance, but this year Zorn still only says the same "he's got a lot to work on" kind of stuff.

I wonder what Zorn will say if Colt goes crazy in the preseason again?

Even with the one pick, that is a fine record. Let's hope Colt keeps it up.

We'll think about it, last year Colt was a rookie who showed lots of great flashes when he was given the opportunity to play, the thing is if you praise him, he'll get cocky. And there's nothing good about a cocky rookie, this year he can't praise him as much, because he's already named Jason the starter for this year, and has already tried to replace Jason 2 times now, I don't think Zorn wants to say anything, like "Man Colt is playing so tremendously now, maybe I should play him next preseason game with the first-teamers" or "He's really pushing Jason for his starting spot". But what is more likely is that he says "Colt is now our 2nd string QB"
