Veuve Clicquot (pronounced Vuuv Cleek-oh). It's absolutely delicious. You can get the yellow label for around $40 a bottle.

I'd think that any bottle for that price would tast good and by the time you pop the cork who cares. The only reason why people say the cheap stuff causes hangover is because by the time they get around to drinking champagne they are allready drunk but blame their hangover on the last thing they drank the night before.

Re: champagne anyone?
This was my grandmother's favorite, and it's tasty. I'm a fan of Moet and Chandon White Star, which if I remember isn't too expensive either ($30-40/bottle, if not less). I went cheap and got Korbel Brut (which is a sparkling white since it's not from the Champagne region of France). It's not bad for $12-$14/bottle. I can't find myself getting anything cheaper than Korbel unless I'm making mimosas...
