Tim Tebow watches Donovan McNabb practice

The Redskins made a couple of players available to reporters today. As they answered questions, we could see some offensive players practicing on the fields behind us. Included in the bunch was quarterback Donovan McNabb, wearing burgundy shorts and throwing to receivers. More on that in a bit.

As the group finished practicing and exited the field, there was one figure in street clothes. As he stepped closer, the crewcut became more visible and we could make out that it was Tim Tebow. So during his visit to Redskins Park today, Tebow watched McNabb and some of the receivers run routes.

As Washington players headed to the locker room, Tebow stepped into the backseat of a Suburban and zipped around to the front of Redskins Park.

Coach Mike Shanahan has spoken glowingly of Tebow, which would seem to eliminate him from draft consideration. Well, that and the team's lack of a second-round pick. We can tell you this: there are some in the organization who do think highly of Tebow and he is considered a legit prospect.

I would't be surprised if Tebow is available in the third round and if the Skins want him they will get him.

It sounds like people expect him to go in the early second or possibly the first now. Same with McCoy.

I am happy with Tebow watching McNabb. Hopefully it is on a big screen in another city.

I have the feeling that we're going to have more draft picks then we currently have now. We might snag Tebow. He'd be good sitting on the bench learning how to be a big time QB behind McNabb for a few years. I hope he doesn't cry like a little B if something doesn't go his way.

Can you imagine Tebow playing for a Dick Vermeil-coached team? The crying jokes would be flying left and right.

I've just got this feeling some team is going to take him towards the end of the first round...

I had a thought that bringing in Mcnabb may make taking Tebow a great option for this team. Though we have so many holes still to fill I would find it hard to believe if the Redskins did land him in the draft some how.

As some one pointed out he could sit behind DM for a few years and learn. But it doesn't appear it could happen at all. Unless we trade out of that #4 pick and move back picking up a few more picks then who knows. Like others have said it will be a hell of a draft ride this year. With BA and MS in charge who the hell knows what will happen in DC come April 22-24.

I hope you're right and I hope that it's an NFC team that isn't the Redskins!! Would love to see one of our division rivals waste a high pick like that.

i think were probly gonna draft our next qb in 2 or 3 years cuz mcnabb def has another 4 or 5 yrs. when tebow got his opportunity he would be in his late 20s plus we dont even have a high enough pick to grab him with

We currently have no 3rd rounder, and no one has said wether Tebow can actually play on the OL.
