Fascinating how two fan-bases have the exact same arguments. It is like friggin' Groundhog day.

That pretty much seals the age-old argument for me.

re: The never ending Jason Campbell player haters ball

In looking back on all the QB's we tried to acquire to replace Campbell I think that talent wise Cutler is much better. However after considering the fact that we came up with a franchise LT and pass rusher as well as McNabb it's hard to argue against the string of events that caused us to loose out on the Cutler sweepstakes.

Sanchez was another bullet not because of the cost, but more so because of the fact that he seems to suffer from Dilfer-itis. Though that might be a product of playing under Rex Ryan who ironically was on a Super Bowl winning team with Dilfer.

Anyway it would seem to me that had Cutler been here under Shanahan he would have been successful. However considering the cost of two guys that might end up being the best in franchise history at their respective positions it's hard not to breathe a sigh of relief.

The only proposed trade of the Cerrato era that might have worked out for us would have been Ochocinco. And I say that because instead of Kelly, Davis, Thomas (of which Kelly and Thomas have yet to prove to be worthy of their draft status) we would have been better off today with Ocho. On top of that the conditional 3rd round would have likely remained a conditional third rounder after seeing the year he had in 2008.

Anyway hindsight is 20/20.

How long was the mourning period for Ramsey? I imagine that Campbell's will be slightly longer.

Didn't want to comment on this before re-watching the game, but the Titans CLEARLY had a snap advantage on Campbell. Of course, the problem was amplified by 1) being on the road, and 2) Mario Henderson can't seem to leave on the snap no matter what the pace is.

Time to earn your paycheck, Hue Jackson.

It's an interesting realization considering that that trade rumor was so universally despised compared to the others, and while the whole process reeks of outcome bias, I'd have to agree with you. We would have done more with Ochocinco here than either Thomas or Davis. And I like Davis.

True, if you compare direct production at the position. Of course Ochocinco in 2008 means no Orakpo in 2009. Or whomever we would've selected at the spot around 20th, ha j/k
