I just dont understand why everyone wants to blame the coaches when its the players that just arent good enough. They have never done anything yet fans still seem to think they arent the reason this team isnt winning. The Skins just arent a very talented team and wont be for awhile.

I wouldn't put it all on the players. Scheme definitely has something to do with it. A unit that ranked in the top 10 last year is suddenly last? I just think the 3-4 is a big adjustment and it's going to take time for everyone to get on the same page.

I dont blame Haslett,he is what he is.On the other hand,Shanahan's ego has got to be bigger than Snyders. The games he's playing are hurting the team,IMO.What do you call a person who has a top 5 defense,a dominating nose tackle, personel equiped to play a 4-3 defense, and you decide to switch to a 3-4,why? I call that person dumb as frickin rock,it doesnt make any sense. If the defense was in the bottom 5 and you dont have Haynesworth, then why not make the move, but otherwise its just plain dumb and Shanahan has just set the franchise back a couple of yrs.Just when its Mcnabbs time to retire maybe the defense will be good again

They were top 10 in yds but lets face it, when the game was on the line they never came through with a big stop or created a turnover. That top 10 is very misleading.

I'm not saying the top 10 ranking meant all was well, but the fact they are getting totally gashed for yards right now tells me there's more to blame than just the players.

The way this season has started, it's obviously testing the patience of the faithful.

There are areas of concern, some relevant to players abilities [or lack thereof] some relevant to coaches decisions. When considering everything involved, a good case can be made for both concerns. The points you guys are making are valid and you're joined by a whole host of others wondering the same things.

Mattyk, you need to put up a new poll this week.... Who gets more carries? Portis or Torain? Portis may be done as our feature back.

Sure doesn't take long to kick a player to the curb around here eh?

I think they'll continue to split carries, CP is too valuable as a blocker too.

They will split carries but CPs days here are numbered especially after his slide last week and then saying that's what the coaches told him to do. Shanny doesnt think much of RBs anyway so I wouldnt be surprised to see Shanny try something new at RB.

I think Portis' production wasn't that bad last week and Torain cannot pass block. Portis may be the best pass blocking back in the league. So it makes no sense to run him out of town right now.

Im not a big fan of Portis, but I cant deny his pass blocking abilities. He has saved the QB from a big hit many many times. I think he has a place on our team but we need a new leader at RB IMO

Our top guys outside of McNabb..... CP, Cooley, Moss, Rabach, Dock, Sellers, Rogers, Hall, Fletch, Goldston, Rocky, Carter... We've had them for a while and they're solid players, but none of them are great and there isn't anything behind them.

Outside of McNabb and Cooley, I'm not sure any of the others would be starters on top teams.

what? The corners, which i know everyone hates because of 1 or 2 plays a season, could easily start on 95% of teams out there. Moss is easily a number 2 WR on every team...Dock would be a starter on olines. Fletch would be a standout on any team. Rocky could be too. Sellers, Rabauch are starters, not great ones though....

If Rocky and Carlos leave after this year they will be missed, and will be more holes we have to address to go along with WR, NT, RB, multiple O-Line, DE,

That's just ridiculous.
