I don't know if I'd want Orakpo at 3-4 DE

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Round 1
The real question is who moves to LDE when we go back to the 4-3

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Round 1
Kerrigan is big enough to put his hand in the dirt, I could see him playing both DE and LB

there's your real plus, if we do ever end up back in a 4-3 we wont have any issues!

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Round 1
I think Kerrigan could not only defend against the rush, but go after the QB. I think he will be fine as a 3-4 OLB. We took Orakpo and made him a 4-3 OLB, big difference and he still did a decent job.
In next year's Madden, I'll be able to put Kerrigan and Orakpo as DEs in the Dime formation.

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Round 1
Shanahan is talking on CSN, etc so I'm guessing so
says he thinks Kerrigan can make the transition to OLB fairly quickly

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Round 1
If we take Mallet I will love him because the Shannahans think he's the guy. Just like my opinion of Gabbert went downhill after we passed up on Gabbert.

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Round 1
I will say this now. In 3 years we better be able to trade Kerrigan for Gabbert. If the cost of trading for Gabbert is 5 first round picks 3 years from now I will be pissed
