Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3

This has been a great draft thus far stocking up picks in a deep draft while still getting 2 players already that fill needs. Now hopefully we'll see some oline help and a wr. Also maybe a project qb like Taylor or devlin.

Sheez, we lost out on every player we wanted this draft. I have zero confidence in this regime. I'm done for the day.

The NFLN made a good point about Austin, which I think makes it okay for us to not get him. Austin is not disciplined in gap assignments, which is not a good thing for a NT or DE in the 3-4.

Hey it's Troy Vincent! He blocked that Cowboys kick in that wild and crazy win with Novak kicking the game winning field goal!

Where is the value chart so we can figure out how much free value has been accumulated.

Why would you want to trade down in a rather weak draft? Are we assured that Mallet is going to be at #62, or whoever they are targeting? THe stud offensive linemen are pretty much all taken. I hope they really address needs in the 3rd and have guys already scoped out.

I am okay with that.
Late 2nd late 4th, late 5th. A 3rd, 5th, 6th IMO. I'd prefer marvin austin.

Can we like the trades before seeing the picks? The trade to get Kerrigan was good value.

Or we keep trading down to see what's the lowest place we can get him. I don't mind picking him up with a low round pick.

It's because Mallet is an @ss clown. I love recouping these picks.

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3

Given our many deficits, I think this is the right move. We need quality athletes. For so long it's been a bunch of first-rounders and FAs playing with scrubs while good teams build in rounds 2, 3, and 4.

Now we gotta trust our scouting.

We? You and the turd in your pocket. This is a new era. An era where they draft themselves out of the basement. Two starters taken so far. Today was a good day.
