How should that be worthy of being suspicous to the police station?

The best thing my dad ever tought me: If police come to your door and you didnt call them dont answear. CJ should have done the same that day.
if and tmz in the same sentence doesn't really sound realiable to me. all i'm saying is it just sounds like the cops were doing their job in this instance responding to a call recieved from a suspicious neighbor. is the neighbor right or wrong? there is your discussion, but as for the cops, sounds like they were just doing what they get paid to do

and as far as it being hard to be young, black and rich. i'd like to see cj spend a few days being young, white, broke, married, and starting a new bussiness. just get back to your mtv film crew and running for 2000 yards a year. i'd be willing to bet with a new cba comes all sorts of new limitations of what these guys put out through their twitter accounts

I think he should try being poor again and living in the ghetto because when I lived in Southeast D.C. the cops wouldn't come at all when someone called 911. That should solve his problem.

Funny. I have co-workers all the time talking about how they have neighbors who will have people coming and going and only staying for 2 min. at a pop. What would that kinda activity make you believe is going on? I suggest calling the police.

I have co-workers who talk about never before seen cars coming down their road or culdisack. What do you tell them? don't worry about it. No I tell them if they see something suspicious call the police and if possible get a tag.

None of us were there and don't have any idea what exactly was going on other then to say the MTV crew was there and some (yes probably nosey neighbor) one called the cops in regards to suspicious activity.

So are the cops susposed to ignore the call and not check it out? Which calls are they susposed to ignore? What if you call about suspicous activity in your neighborhood? should they ignore it? especially if there are black males involved?

I know it looks like I'm calling you out Schneed10 but I'm not. Your rant was probably toward the neighbor, my rant is toward the people mad because the police were called out and were asked to do their job. The police found out he was doing nothing wrong and walked.

Better yet why couldn't he tweet something like "hey just had the 5-0 at my door because of nosey neighbors." Because there is no drama in that. It sounds better to say " the po po just banged on my door thinking we was selling drugs up in here."

It's all about how one looks at life and how they want to communicate.

The people who turn to selling drugs are often lower-income and often uneducated.

There will always be exceptions, but if we're talking about the most accurate way to profile somebody, it's based on income levels, not race or gender.
you pretty much stated my point. you think poor people do drugs and rich people don't, gotcha.

Sounds like Johnson fell victim to a stigma that has long been attached to young black men viewed as possibly conducting illegal behavior, high-end cars and constant traffic. The tipster had obviously staked claim to that stigma, suspected the possibility of wrongdoing and called the police. It happens all the time maybe just not where he lives.

Let's be careful here people. I know we have a large number of members here who are both black and white. Please read your responses before you hit "post," and let's make sure we're not offending anyone. Remember the motto of this forum- for the INTELLIGENT fans. Let's act as such.

I think what he's saying is poor people are more likely than rich people to SELL drugs.

No, old money use prescriptions and become wineo's. New money uses street drugs

I agree...the fewer of these type topics the better. In reality they serve no worthwhile purpose as we all understand the circumstances associated with these type events.

I would've told them what was going on and shut the door in their faces. Unless they had a search warrant they would not have stepped foot in my house.

Just an FYI....Not all young black males get in trouble with the law. I guess if you see a black person in your hood you're running to your phone and bolting down your doors.
