Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
For the right price I'd bring in anyone. BE at the right price would be a smart move. We can't have enough depth at WR after not having much there for several years now.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
plax is 34 and looking at 5mill/year min, so its either b edwards or stand pat at WR, we still need a little on the OL and some reasonable back 7 guys for depth though.
I think outside of BE, we've got no big moves left, just vet depth/camp competition stuff. |

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
I'm still on the fence about him. On one hand, if we can get him for an okay price, I think him and Moss as our 1 and 2, or put Moss in the slot and put someone else at the 2, could be great for us. On the other hand, I have a sneaking suspicion that he didn't drop many balls last year because it was a career year and he's looking for a payday. Or maybe Mark Sanchez is a good quarterback and just put the ball in places where Edwards didn't have trouble with it. Who knows. All I know is I'd rather make sure the offensive line is shored up before we go after guys we don't necessarily need.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
I think the market is a little soft for Edwards right now. Most of the headline FA have been snapped up and are in camp. Roy Williams for goodness sake is even off the market.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
The Bears are becoming Cowboys North, signing Roy Williams, Marion Barber, and Sam Hurd. I actually think Roy Williams could work out for the Bears. He's certainly not going to be expected to come in and be the Pro Bowler he was with the Lions. I don't know why it didn't work out for him in Dallas, but I couldn't be happier. They gave away King Midas' gold to get him lol.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
I wouldn't mind getting Edwards at this point. It'd be nice to have more talent at the wideout position with freaking Nnamdi in Philly. Plus he may not be that expensive. Of course we should do this once we get our RT.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
He got his height measured for his physical and got pissed when they said he was 5'7 3/4" instead of 5'8". He insisted he was 5'8" and when they wrote it down 5'7 3/4" he walked out...
