Re: Rex reporting for duty!

LOL I was just watching Redskins Nation and thought the same thing about Rex. Maybe he will be like Big Ben, with players just bouncing of him?

Most who have seen him in person this summer say he is no bigger than last year

I think John Keim mentioned that point in one of his recent camp reports.

I think this whole thing is really dumb. Looks like he could stand to drop 5-10 lbs, but he's always been stocky.

He doesn't look much different to me either from last year

Red8 is the mark of the gunslinger, a one Rex Grossman with the quickest release in the game. The Redskins offense is going to be prolific, something Redskins fans haven't seen in years. It's time to embrace Grossman, try to be smart fans and understand that Grossman is a talented passer and Beck should only hope to be his understudy.

Re: Rex reporting for duty!

I'm saying, does Rex look any worse than he did last year?

There's a lot of quarterbacks who are soft in the middle. Peyton Manning ain't exactly built like a Greek statue or anything.

How about we support our quarterbacks instead of trashing them like the teams we claim to hate?

I relinquish my title as leader of the Sexy Rexy Bandwagon to you, as it is apparent you have reached levels of boyhood idolization I can only dream of.

Yeah I mean Cooley isn't exactly ripped either. I'm not saying he can't play QB, I'm just saying there's really no denying he's kinda pudgy. But I agree it's not really relevant to his 2011 season. It's not like he's a WR.

Supporting them and having some sort of delusions about their potential are two seperate things. Will I cheer for the success of our starting qb? Absolutely. Will my expectations remain very low if that qb is Grossman or Beck? Of course. Look at the last decade of Super Bowl qbs and tell me it isn't a passers league.
Sure Rex played in a Super Bowl, but his numbers hit a ceiling that was about on par with Brunell's best season as a Redskin.

I love my Redskins, but I'm real at the same time.
