Ref strips ball from Doughty???!!!
This has been bothering me and I wanted to see what everyone else thought about it. I think it was pretty ridiculous that when Doughty gets up and seems like he may jog to the end zone just in case that was a live ball that he just recovered, the Ref acts like a jerk and comes up from behind and starts smacking at the ball to take it from him. I didn't hear a whistle, and it looked like he wasn't touched so what gives? That could have been the difference in the game if we had needed a TD. Thoughts?

Seriously though, I didn't notice that. Is the NFLN showing the game this week?

Re: Ref strips ball from Doughty???!!!
Hilarious post...acts like a jerk and smacks him...
However after watching the clip SS just posted, Reed did not appear to have been touched by an Arizona player. Who cares now though...we won.

Re: Ref strips ball from Doughty???!!!
I agree with you MD. I did not see him get touched after he jumped on the ball.

Well it's because the referee had ruled Stuckey down

Re: Ref strips ball from Doughty???!!!
Whistle was blown and the ruling was down by contact. Doughty did the right thing cause he probably didn't hear it (he is partially deaf) and the ref has the right to snag the ball from him during time sensitive game moments.
