Re: Pics For Sharing & Debating
Quote:
Idle corporate cash piles up | David Cay Johnston I don't think the rich should be taxed any differently than people living above the poverty level. What I do get tired of hearing is those people making the case that rich pay more in taxes than poor people do. What these people don't tell you is that they are paying way less in percentages, and that's the true numbers. If it's ok and great for a guy to make 100000% greater than my salary, why is it ok if he only has to pay .0001% of his taxes while I'm paying 20-30%? Granted the numbers are made up, but I'm illustrating a point. If I'm paying 20%, he should too. This is what we call FAIR and just. If they don't like it, how about we match salaries and I'll pay what he is paying. Quote:
For a small business, yes. When you start dealing with corporations and LLCs, there is limited liability so whoever starts the company can walk away with their belongings intact. Hell, even small businesses can file bankruptcy. Most of the time, that "capital" is fronted by a bank anyways. In the end, it's the workers that make a company go. Should they all be paid the same? Of course not. Should they not be rewarded as the company grows? Absolutely.
