Re: Antonio Brown sent to NFL Europe

Antonio Brown needs this NFLE experience and whatever he can get in the way of coaching over there. At the moment, Antonio Brown is today's version of Cliff Russell - - he can run faster than just about anyone in the league AND he can't catch a cold.

Russell hung on for 3 years or so because he was so damned fast that coaches could not believe that they couldn't teach him something simple like catching a football. After all, you can teach a 7-year old how to do that, no? But Russell never learned and now he's off to some other career.

Antonio Brown needs to improve about as much as Cliff Russell needed to improve; Brown's hands are substandard for an Ivy League wide receiver. But he can run - very, very fast. And so he has an opportunity in NFLE this spring and will get a lot of tutelage in minicamp and traiing camp and ...

The bottom line is simple: Can he be taught how to catch a football reliably? Cliff Russell couldn't.
