Re: Brett Favre Decision

Well, if it's so annoying to everyone, don't pay attention to it. I'm not saying that tragedy makes it okay for him to take this long. I think the fact that he's one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time gives him the right to take so long making this decision. They weren't going to get a QB in free agency, they have Aaron Rogers. And if you think that I'm wrong, you're lying to yourself. This team won't even address obvious needs. I don't think that Favre thinks the NFL needs him in any way.

I would agree that it's not good for his team to take this long making the decision, but he doesn't tell people to ask John Clayton and Mort to see what his decision will be. It's the intrigue of everyone else that's causing this. I'm sure it's frustrating to the Packers organization and Packer fans, but the fact is, he's one of the best to ever play the game, so people give him a pass. I don't begrudge him in the least for wanting to make sure that he makes a decision he won't regret.

While I'm sure people will tear this apart cause you don't like Salisbury, Sean Salisbury was talking about what it was like to decide to retire. He said, "You're damn right you miss it. You'll never 100% sure you made the right decision. That's just something you have to deal with, I understand why it's taking him so long and I wish I had evaluated this heavily." At least it was something very close to that, back around the time of the Super Bowl. That comes from a guy who was holding a clipboard about 90% of the time. It's not an easy decision to make and the Packers aren't making it any easier.
