Expectations were pretty high this year. With the big win over the Jaguars, I think most people looked at Week 5 as the pivotal spot that would either keep us in the middle of the pack or worse if we lost, or propelled us to the upper echelon if we had won.

Going into the Meadowlands, a place where we have had trouble in the past, and getting a divisional win on the road would have been HUGE.

Knowing the success we had last year, bringing in and signing the players we all knew we had to have, (wideouts and a defensive end) -- all of this pointed to the Redskins taking the next step towards a championship. A true playoff contender would have marched in Giants Stadium and come out on top.

This loss took the wind out of a lot of sails.
