Coaches and fans always miles apart.
If you listen to fans of any team in any sport they almost always take issue with coaches choices. Obviously that's part of the fun of supporting a team - to discuss and debate things etc. Pretty much all of the time it is easier to say that the coaches picked the wrong guy because we'll never be able to back up our opinions as we can never pick the team. The coaches always know more than any fan about the team and individuals within the team and indeed the sport so fans second guessing them is usually in response to poor performance.
However, every now and again it seems that almost all fans disagree with a coach on a selection he has made, as in the case of Holdman versus Rocky. Now, I'm not saying that we all think Rocky should start but I don't think that you could find one fan who doesn't want to see him at least get on the field. But apparently, Williams and Gibbs think we are all wrong.
Why? Either they know something we don't (in this case - Rocky isn't up to the task yet) or they are just being stubborn and sticking to a policy (in this case not playing rookies) or they love Holdman.
Let's just hope it isn't the first reason of Rocky not being up to it.
