IMO the situation with Gardner is win/win. Either he will be pushed to step up his game by McCants/Thrash (I'd also include Jacobs if he could stay healthy), or one of them will prove worthy and take his job. Either way, we win by having a high quality #2 WR to compliment Coles. And if, God forbid, Coles goes down with an injury, they will still be alright, especially if TJ gets healthy and continues to impress like he was doing in mini-camp and the beginning of training camp.
Daseal: Gardner was a decent #1 two years ago with over 1000 yds. He's not your proto-typical #1, but he does have the potential to get it done....if he can catch the freakin' ball more than half the time!!!
I'm still pulling for my boy McCants though.... :headbange
