Seems pretty clear to me -- Betts and Dock are offensive players who have been part of the lone bright spot this season (the running game), while Arch is a player on the defense responsible for the biggest year-to-year defensive collapse in Redskins history.

Plus, Saunders just seems like a more reasonable, even-keeled guy, whereas GGrilliamss has a rep for being a hardass and a jerk everywhere he's been, and I'm willing to bet Joe is much more involved with the guys on offense than on defense.

You can see from Adam's statements that he's clearly making a point of saying he got a "10 minute talk with Coach Gibbs" and he "appreciated that", which says to me he neither wants to offend Gibbs nor blames him directly for what's gone down.
