He certainly was all different kinds of productive, and I see the same issues with both Heyward-Bey and Maclin in terms of what routes they can run and how well they can separate.

The thing I hear about Maclin is that he's just very soft. With Heyward-Bey, he's a deep threat, but he's a hard nosed guy who can take that slip screen and get yards after the catch, or turn the drag route upfield. With Maclin, I just think injuries and an unwillingness to run a certain part of the route tree to the best of his ability is going to get him at the next level. Plus, I think he's blocked in Philly by a better WR, DeSean Jackson, who himself is just about to break into their starting lineup.
