By this being unchartered territory, it has to be extremely challenging for any GM. There's so many questions about the whole situation that cannot be answered today mainly because of the uncertainty associated with the assembly of a new CBA.

It really depends upon what rules are put in place during the negotiation of a new CBA. They can change the rules around to whatever they want.

But logically speaking, any money paid out during an uncapped year would not count towards any future caps. Including bonuses. But who knows, they could come up with something illogical.
