Rod Gardner was the Joe Gibbs type everyone here seems to covet. He'd stay after practice and catch an extra hundred balls or two to work on his hands. He worked hard. He kept his mouth shut. He played hard.

He had bad drops, without a doubt. However, this season he was the one that made all the spectacular games. Had Gibbs not wasted timeouts GARDNER made possibly the best catch of the season to put us well within FG range. I don't think we thew it to him (or anyone for that matter) enough to see. I could see him turn into a great receiver.
