I would imagine that any follow-up will fully explore potential collaborators with these two. If the uncle is involved, I doubt he will be able to hide it. Google the historian and theologian al Tabari, who was sunni. He said taqiyya is acceptable in certain circumstances. Also Kitman is always permitted when dealing with kufr.

Just because Chechens are generally sunni doesn't mean that they all are or that their observation of islam is the same as every other moslem.
Historically they have proved to be far more vociferous that most moslem groups. E.G. Beslan school attack.
