Could he have been more "instinctual" about where the markers and defenders were? Maybe. Also, I saw Shanny come over to him but nothing to indicate a tongue lashing. From what I saw, he could have said something like "Nice try" or "Next time try and turn it up quicker" or any number of similar statements.

At the end of the day, I just think you may be reading too much into this one play and that it's one of those "reasonable people" can differ on.

After re-watching I agree with you. Really wasn't much more he could have done on that play.
