Yes, society has reached the point that as a teacher you cannot been seen doing that. The same people that treat you as an over-paid babysitter can't stand the idea that you might be normal and enjoy a drink in your free time.

But do we want to further it more?

The same social forces going after the NFL, the Vikings, and the Ravens are the same ones coming after us for having a racist team name.

It's all righteous feel good stuff until its your team being targeted for whatever reason.

Be careful what we wish for.

Except the racism stuff is being fueled by a minority and a lot of white guilt (my opinion on the guilt thing) and people just banged their drum over and over and over until folks finally started paying attention.

Killing dogs (who can't defend themselves), beating children (who also can't defend themselves) and throwing a left hook at your wife, I'm pretty sure are universally condemnable things.
